2. the camera needs time to focus and adjust when you zoom in and out. 3. you need a lot of space to get good shots. 4. it is more difficult than i thought to capture something the same way you experience it in real time and space than how it is played back to you. 5. a lot of things seemed more interesting and dynamic after i had been taping for a while and finding interesting ways to capture shots. 6. even sitting still and recording with your arm leaning against a surface for steadiness isn’t steady. buy a tripod or set the camera down in a safe place to record still shots. 7. cropping shots in awkward ways makes for awkward footage that doesn’t make sense. 8. movement can be displayed through sense of time and through noise, not just by seeing something or someone move. 9. music or noise can completely change the way you “see” something. 10. utilize what you can to make your footage as interesting as possible. creative shots and trying to see things differently for yourself makes it more interesting for you and for others. it makes your work more enjoyable to do and for people to look at.
